For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church’s way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.
- Infant Baptism: Parents should contact the Parish Priest to schedule Baptism instruction classes and schedule the Baptism.
- Older Children: Children over the age of seven will prepare for the sacrament through the RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation of Children).
- Adult Baptism: Adults who wish to join the Catholic Church and have not been baptized “in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit” will prepare for the sacrament through participation in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) classes.
